Witness history as two vegans, Peter Mierwinski and Kay Stepkin, demonstrate plant-based cooking in a venue that is a former meatpacking plant. The world's first vegan museum will take you on a global journey through the philosophy and history that paved the way for vegan-kind to empower earth's survival. Come hungry for free samples of gazpacho and tofu florentine, and with a thirst for vegan history in the making.

The event is free, and we will accept donations of any amount at the door.

This event will take place at The Plant, a research and production facility comprising a collaborative community of small food businesses. The Plant hosts the Chicago Vegan Test Kitchen's Vegan Paradise markets on Sundays from 11 am-3 pm through Halloween, including the day of the cooking demo (no market on Sept. 12 or 19).

The Vegan Museum's traveling exhibit is currently located in the lobby of The Plant, where it is open to visitors during Sunday markets and other business hours. See the events calendar of The Plant for more information on visiting as well as other activities taking place on the day of the cooking demo at www.insidetheplant.com/planavisit.
